Painting pottery is very near and dear to me. I love to paint pottery and my goal as the owner of the Clay House is to share that love of creating something fun and unique with you! Although 90% of the people that come into our studio say that they are "not creative" or "cannot paint" - our goal is to show you that it simply isn't true! We have a relaxing atmosphere in which you can take a deep breath and have fun. Bright paintings of whimsical animals and flowers are intended to spark the creative juices! We have many pieces of pottery to choose from and you do not need to make an appointment unless you are with a large group. In those instances we do recommend calling ahead. Stop in sometime soon and experience for yourself how much fun painting pottery can be. We promise to make it as delightful an experience as possible and we appreciate each and every customer that comes through our teal front door...many of whom we now call friends.

The process of painting pottery is easy and fun! We will step you through it if you are a first time painter.
If you are experienced and know the ropes....we allow quiet time to be creative on your own!
However, if you have questions....we have answers and love to help!

Pottery takes between 7-10 days to fire through our kilns. If you are in need of pottery items sooner, please discuss this with us prior to painting and we will do our best to accomodate your needs.

Extreme temperature changes can be hard on your pottery. Please do not leave your pottery in frigid temperatures for any length of time as this may increase the chance for your pottery to crack. We also recommend hand washing and do not recommend use in the microwave. Treat your pottery like a piece of artwork with gentle care and you will enjoy it for years to come.

Due to limited storage space in our studio, any pottery that is unclaimed or not finished within a 6 month time frame from the start date will not be kept on site. Clay House reserves the right to donate unclaimed pottery to a charitable organization or cause. We make every effort to contact customers numerous times once pottery is finished. Please leave us a phone number where you can easily be reached or a message can be left. We will gladly work with you under special circumstances - please talk to us if you are not able to finish your pottery for some reason and we can make arrangements to help you or even finish it for you.
