Step OneCall the Clay House to set up an appointment.
The average amount of time from start to finish is approx. 45 minutes.Tell us how many hands you would like in your casting. We can cast up to 5 adult hands at one time. We will give you full instructions once you arrive. Each person must be able to sit completely still for up to 5 minutes. |
Step TwoOnce your hand mold has been taken, we carefully pour your mold and then un-mold it all in the same afternoon. We then carefully touch up any tiny imperfections such as air bubbles giving you the most accurate mold of your hands possible.
|
Step ThreeOnce your hand mold is dry, we will give you a call and you will pick it up from our studio. This may take up to 2 weeks time. We do not paint the hands or do any other finishes to them. We recommend you display your hand casting in a safe place.

Some final considerations:
Nails should be trimmed. Long fingernails to not cast well.
Rings can be worn however low profile rings work the best.
Short sleeves work best as your arms may be submerged up to your forearm.
Remove watches or hair ties around your wrist well before your appointment. Any skin indentations will show in the final casting.
If your circumstance requires us to come to your location, please call us with the details.
